Tina Piotrowski, BSN, MBA

Chief Executive Officer

Tina received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from Northern Michigan University and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a healthcare management concentration from Davenport University. Tina was the Executive Director of Metro Health OAM Surgery Center in Grand Rapids, where she directed business and service line development for an orthopedic focused organization. She serves as 1st Vice President of the Michigan Ambulatory Surgery Association, is on the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification, and holds the CASC designation as a Certified Administrator - Surgery Center. Tina has over 15 years of experience in ambulatory health care. She has successfully led organizations to achieve best in class outcomes in quality of care, cost savings to patients and payers, and overall financial performance.

Mary Herweyer

Business Office Manager

Mary manages the Business Office at CRSC and has been with the Center since it’s opening in 2004. She grew up in northern Michigan, being a resident of Beulah and then Traverse City where she completed her studies in Business Administration at Northwestern Michigan College. Since 1987, Mary has worked in the healthcare industry; she has experience in medical healthcare management as has been involved in the ground floor implementation of area physician practices. She is an active member of the Michigan Ambulatory Surgery Association (MASA) and has been speaker and leadership chair at MASA conferences. Mary is also an active member of the National Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA).

Gayle Bultsma, BSN, CAPA

Peri-Procedural Director

Gayle joined the team at CRSC over 14 years ago, originally serving as a Clinical Team Leader. Now, as Peri-Procedural Director, she oversees the Pre-op, Post-op, and Endoscopy Services at CRSC. Gayle received her nursing degree at Calvin College and Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, MI, and completed her BSN degree through Spring Arbor University. Her background includes substantial experience in the OR, pediatric/adult critical care, and the recovery room. She earned her certification in Ambulatory Perianesthesia nursing in 2008 and remains an active member with the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN). She is active in the development of the perianesthesia certification exams through her participation in the Item Writing Review and Exam Review Committees, as well a member of the Leader Resource Team for the American Board of PeriAnesthesia Nursing Certification (ABPANC). Additionally, she is committed to bringing high quality care to our patients through her focus on the patient experience and safety throughout our organization.

Christy Bingham, BSN

Intra-Procedural Director

Christy received her nursing degree from Indiana University School of Nursing and has over 16 years of experience as a circulating nurse. Now, as Intra-Procedural Director, Christy oversees the OR, Central Processing Department, and Materials Management Department at Copper Ridge Surgery Center and serves as CRSC’s Infection Preventionist. She works closely with Munson Medical Center and their affiliates to help standardize care across the area healthcare systems. Christy leads by example and is committed to encouraging the professional growth of her staff.
